In the second semifinals Germany easily has defeated Russia after four sets and deservedly went to the final. During the all match Germany played on the high level except in the second set when Russia was better in the block.
The top scorer in the winning team was Christian Fromm with 19 points followed by Jochen Schöps 15 while on the other side Ilya Vlasov scored 13 and Egor Kliyuka 12 points.
