Last season the 28-year-old receiver was one of the main player in AJ Fonte Bastardo which reached the final but lost a dramatic playoffs series with 3-2 in wins.
“I like Portugal and I am glad that I stayed here. Benfica is a great club. For me it’s a great opportunity. I’m happy for this new challenge. Benfica always played at the highest level and its fans are great support. Our aim will be to win another title” said Kolev.
