Paykan
Paykan have returned from Brazil few days ago where they participated in the FIVB Club World Championship. They still have two postponed matches in the Iranian league.
Last night they couldn’t play against their opponents Sarmayeh Bank and after only three sets they suffered the first defeat – 25:16, 25:18, 25:18.
Head coach of Sarmayeh Bank said: “We didn’t expect to defeat Paykan in Tehran. I’m glad that my players did their job in the best way. Paykan is a big team, and we used their tiredness.“
Peyman Akbari head coach of Paykan team said: “I’m satisfied with my team. They played well but we are still recovering from Brazil. Our situation still is not good but I think after minimum 10 day we will be as usual.”
During the game, performances of Shahram Mahmoudi, Seyed Mohammad Mousavi and Farhad Nazari Afshar were excellent and they brought the win to Sarmayeh Bank team. On the other side Valerio Vermiglio, Nikolay Nikolov, Amir Ghafour and Farhad Ghaemi could not stop high play of opponent team.
