Abidjan, Ivory Coast, December 26, 2011 – Within the framework of the African Volleyball Confederation’s “CAVB Strategic Plan,” Ivory Coast has been enjoying the benefits this week of one of the Coaches Aid Programme events with a national coaches course attended by more than 50 local coaches and physical training candidates.

The course is being instructed by Brahim Bouchdouk from Morocco, who was impressed by the coaches in attendance and the keen interest and full support of the Ivory Coast Volleyball Federation, who helped ensure everyone achieved maximum benefit from the event.

Many media outlets covered the event, in particular local TV who interviewed the instructor.

During the course, Bouchdouk will help the federation establish a fixed strategy for local volleyball training centres and also implement the Volleyball at School programme. He will also conduct a refresher course for local coaches.

Ivory Coast Volleyball Federation president Sanga Issouf Kone said he was happy with the outcome of the course in the first few days and hoped to use the experience of the instructor to improve the level of the sport in the West African country.
