AUT M: Tirol claim third championship title in a row

Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam Innsbruck lifted the trophy intended for the best team in Austria for the ninth time in their history, third in a row!

In Bleiburg, Tirol smashed home team of SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob in the sixth game of Austrian playoff finals 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-22) and took series 4-2.

This was the 16th time in a row that Tirol took part in domestic playoff finals and one man was participant every time – Daniel Gavan. He took six championship titles as a player, two as an assistant coach and one as head coach – in 2016!

Estonian Renee Teppan scored 17 points for the winning team while Slovenian Danijel Koncilja had 11 in Posojilnica.
