WL 2016: Iran scored new victory, Bulgaria still without points

In the first match of the Week 2, Iran defeated Bulgaria 3-1 (18:25, 25:20, 25:23, 25:20) and on the best way started new adventure in Belgrade.

After they lost the first set 25-18 they played much better in the next three sets.

Mohammadjavad Manavinezhad was the top scorer in the winning team with 21 points followed by Milad Ebadipour  17 while the Bulgarian opposite Tsvetan Sokolo finished match with 19 points and Svetoslav Gotsev 11 points.

This was Iranian second win in this edition of World League while on the other side Bulgaria suffered their fourth defeat. Both nations met for the first time at the World League.
