Match for the fifth place at the FIVB World Grand Prix was the last in the Thai National volleyball team for their coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai and libero Wanna Buakaew.

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai said goodbye to Thai National team in which he is since 1998.

After the match against China which Thailand lost, 35-year-old Thai libero Wanna Buakaew said:  

As you know, this is my last match. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the national team for over a decade. Please continue supporting the Thai national team.”
