Iran scored the first ever victory at the Olympic Games. Today in Rio, Iranian team outplayed Cuba in straight sets (25-21, 32-29, 25-16).

The second set was the only uncertain and exciting to the very end, in the others Iranian team dominated. 

Shahram Mahmoudi  was the top scorer in the winning team with 15 points and Seyed Mousavi 11 while Miguel Angel Lopez Castro led Cuba with 14 points followed by Osniel Lazaro Melgarejo Hernandez  12.
