Jordan Larson is definitely a backbone of Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul. The US receiver has been a member of the Turkish giants for the third consecutive season and she has started this one by winning a gold medal at the 2016 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Club World Championship in Manila, Philippines.

„It was a thriller that’s for sure but I’m really proud of my team for staying patient. Neslihan did a great job coming in and showing what a great player she is. Just to have the confidence to come in at that point (ace for 12-10 in tie-break)… I’m really proud of her, proud of my team and I’m really excited,“ Larson said her impressions about the final game.

Many gave the role of favorites to Eczacıbaşı in the final. So, did that put a pressure on the players?

„No, I don’t think so. We are trying to find ourselves a little bit, I think, still trying to work on our system and what’s best for us. So, I think we have some growing pains but we’re just trying to get better every single day. I think that’s where some communication problems came,“ she added.
