Dutch media have made a list of coaches who should be considered as potential Guidetti’s successors.
AVAILABLE:
Massimo Barbolini is a very suitable candidate. This 52-year old Italian coach has a great career record. He led Italy (2006-2012) to two European titles and two World Cup victories. Also was three time Champions League winner. Marco Bonitta is also a good option. He was at the helm of Italian women’s national team in the last three years. The third Italian on the short list is Giovanni Caprara. He has a lot of trophies with Turkish team Eczacibasi. Hugh McCutcheon, the coach from New Zealand, would be a good choice as he has worked as a coach of men’s and women’s U.S. national team, winning gold in 2008 with men’s team and silver with women’s team in 2012.
It is possible that Zoran Terzic becomes available coach since he has not extended a contract with Serbian Volleyball Federation.
Dutch speaking coaches:
These are two best options: Avital Selinger and Gert Vande Broek.
TOP COACHES:
In the first place is Lang Ping. Even though she has confirmed that she has only two options, Chinese national team or retirement, Dutch media put her in the list. The second name is Bernardo Rezende, who won the gold medal at the Olympic Games with Brazilian men’s national team. But, as he has experience in women’s volleyball (coach of Rexona), he should be considered as an option.
Recall that Giovanni Guidetti left the Dutch national team.

Hugh is from New Zealand, not Australia. My guess is he would not trade a very good paying full-time job coaching in the US for a part-time job coaching the Dutch. And he would not be able to do both.
