The team is participating in this premier event for the eleventh time and will star in preliminary Pool A together with the 2012 champions of Zenit KAZAN (Russia), VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN of Germany and Austria’s Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK.

Some 400 people attended this past Tuesday the official team presentation held at the local “Schiervelde” sports hall where moderator Matthias Vanderaspoilen got the chance to interview on the players’ bench club president Daniel Vanden Berghe, youth coordinator Erwin Everaert and head coach Emile Rousseaux. After that all players – from the members of the youth team up to the seniors – appeared on a catwalk
.
The past and recent results of the youth team, the main goals for the coming season, the draw of the CEV Volleyball Champions League as well as the individual presentation of each player followed quite rapidly via an ad-hoc presentation and projection prepared by the club.

“To play in the Champions League is an incredible and exclusive experience for all players and even though we were assigned to a very difficult group we shall not be afraid of our opponents and go for the victory. If we have a good day, I think we have our own chances against all of our upcoming rivals. I do not want to make any prediction about our chances to make it to the next round; we shall take it match by match and learn from every single experience” said head coach Emile Rousseaux.
Knack ROESELARE will start this weekend the domestic season via an away match against Duvel PUURS.
