Japan won against Afghanistan 3:0 on the Asian Junior Men's Championship. Thailand defeated Sri Lanka, and qualified for the next round.

In Pool B, Japan placed top with nine points from three wins after beating their last pool opponents Afghanistan 3:0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-13). Thailand also defeated Sri Lanka in straight sets 3:0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-13) to place second with six points as they lost to Japan. Sri Lanka, who clinched three points, and winless Afghanistan were third and fourth in the pool.
