The local heroines scored a couple of weeks ago a splendid home victory (3:1) against Romania’s Dinamo Romprest BUCURESTI and are currently ranked second in Pool C with 3 points, ex-aequo with BUSTO ARSIZIO as they share the same set ratio.
ASPTT MULHOUSE is certainly not the favorite going into this match especially since Unendo Yamamay joined Europe’s most elitist competition after a memorable season where they swept all domestic competitions in Italy and claimed also the 2012 edition of the CEV Volleyball Cup.
“They have got great players in their roster but we have nothing to lose” says head coach Magali Magail, “especially as we play before our home fans”. The group is in full swing and has been gradually improving the quality of its play: “The most important thing is that we can stand the real pressure resulting from these world-class matches” adds the home mentor. This game will be very special for middle blocker Christina Bauer, who represents the likes of BUSTO ARSIZIO, but previously spent six years in Mulhouse, thereby developing a very special connection with the players and the local coaching staff. “We shared great moments but this does not count anymore. Actually we want to show the positive development of our group to Christina, something similar to what she has done after moving to Italy” concludes Magali Magail.
