Samardzic replaces Bulgarian libero Vladislav Ivanov and has got a long experience in the Cups, having previously represented Crvena Zvezda BEOGRAD (from 2000 through 2005), NIS Seme Vojvodina NOVI SAD (2005-2007), TOURS VB of France (2007-2008), Trefl GDANSK (2008-2009) and Aris Marmouris THESSALONIKI (from 2009 through 2012). Samardzic will join forces once again with Sergiu Stancu with whom he shared his experience in France while two more players of Tomis, Radu Began and Razvan Tanasescu, were his opponents by the time he played Tomis in the 2005/2006 Austrian Airlines Top Teams Cup while defending the likes of NIS Seme Vojvodina NOVI SAD.

The participation in the CEV Volleyball Champions League represents a great challenge for the Serbian libero: “I am very glad to join Tomis, a club that has worked very intensively in the past few years and significantly progressed, making it to the international elite. I remember playing here in Constanta seven years ago with NOVI SAD. I have evidently chosen to come here also because I have the opportunity to play in the most prestigious club competition worldwide. We have been assigned to a very difficult group but I will try to play my best to help my team claim good results in this elitist arena”.
