Zawiercie – Resovia
Zawiercie couldn’t imagine a better start of the season. They managed to defeat the title-contender Resovia in the tie-break! And it was a stunning comeback in the fifth set.
Resovia had a 12-6 advantage, but believe it or not, they somehow dropped it. The players of Zawiercie made a huge pressure from the service line, raising also a defense to the highest possible level to create an 8-0 scoring run to get the first match points. They didn’t use the first one, but they used the second!
Marcin Walinski and Mateusz Malinowski had amazing displays, finishing the game with 28 and 26 points. Jakub Jarosz was the best scorer in Resovia with 21 points, while Mateusz Mika and Thibault Rossard had 17 points each.
Zaksa were also in the trouble after the first set, but they have managed to make a comeback and to win the game. Aleksander Sliwka had 17 points, Mateusz Bieniek added 16, while Sam Deroo had 15 points. In a home team, Lincoln Williams was the top scorer with 19 points.
