Trefl
In an advanced match of Round 13 of the 2019/20 PlusLiga regular season, Trefl defeated Resovia in straight sets: 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-19). It was one of the biggest derbies of the Polish league which had an additional taste due to the fact that it confronted two head coaches that used to play together in Poland National Team for many years during the 2000s: Trefl’s Michał Winiarski and Resovia’s Piotr Gruszka.
With this win, Trefl wrote down their third success in a row, while Resovia suffered already their third defeat. Paweł Halaba showed an all-round display with 19 points, including 5 aces and 5 kill blocks. Zbigniew Bartman scored 10 points for Resovia.
