The former member of the Poland National Team (2007-2016), Możdżonek, decided to end his very successful professional career.
“I’m already 35 years old, having many years of career behind me. Ambition told me to try to get back to the court but I won’t be younger, and my health isn’t as it used to be,” the middle blocker said and stressed that he recently underwent sciatica surgery.
Możdżonek won 3 Polish Championship titles (all with PGE Skra Bełchatów) on a club level, as well as 5 Polish Cups (3 with PGE Skra Bełchatów and 2 with Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle) and 1 Turkish Cup (Halkbank).
With the national team, he claimed the 2009 CEV European Championship, 2012 FIVB World League, and 2014 FIVB World Championship.
Individually, Możdżonek was awarded Best Blocker of the 2009 FIVB Club World Championship, 2011 FIVB World Cup, 2012 Polish Cup, and 2012 FIVB World League. He finished his career in the jersey of Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, which he wore in the last four years.
