In what can be considered the biggest rivalry of the Polish men’s club volleyball, Resovia beat Skra in the tie-break in a match valid for a delayed 12th round of the 2020/21 PlusLiga regular season. Although it seemed a one-sided encounter, given that Resovia got to the lead in sets of 2-0, Skra bounced back but couldn’t go all the way: 3-2 (25-17, 25-16, 16-25, 23-25, 15-11).
Both teams don’t play on a level of their reputations this season. However, this win pushed Resovia from the 10th to 6th place in the charts. Slovenian Klemen Čebulj top-scored Resovia with 20 points. Estonian Timo Tammemaa made 4 blocks.
In a delayed match of the 9th round, Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle swept Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom and recorded the 17th success in as many games played in the league. Aleksander Śliwka scored 16 points on the winning side.
