WL M: Anastasi – “I’m afraid of matches in Bulgaria”

Polish coach Andrea Anastasi has talked about the upcoming matches with Bulgaria in the 2013 FIVB World League on 12th and 13th July. He is afraid of some matches in Bulgaria.

He was asked by the Polish media if he remembers last year in the finals of the World League in Sofia, when Bulgarian fans threw bottles at the Polish team.

Yes, I remember, and I must admit that I am afraid of some matches in Bulgaria. But not only the fans and the atmosphere. Also, sometimes the miracles happen there. For example, recent game between Bulgaria and Argentina from the World League. On TV, they clearly showed how ball hit the antenna, but it was the point for visitors from Argentina. Only referees of the match have not seen this situation. I’d like to believe that these things will not happen to us in Bulgaria – said Andrea Anastasi.
