POL M: Plusliga Semifinals Continue with Game 2 – ZAKSA and Jastrzębski Take 2-0 Series Lead

The Semifinals best-of-five series of Plusliga continued today with Game 2, following yesterday’s Game 1. Similar to the previous day, Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle emerged victorious against Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, this time in four sets (25-21, 27-25, 18-25, 25-18), taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Bartosz Bednorz maintained his position as the top scorer with 29 points, while Maciej Muzaj and Torey Defalco led the losing side with 19 points each.

In the second match of the day, Jastrzębski Węgiel defeated Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie (without Uros Kovacevic) after a five-set battle (25-20, 27-29, 27-25, 27-29, 15-8), also taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Tomasz Fornal finished as the top scorer with 23 points, whereas Marcin Waliński scored 20 points and was the most efficient player for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.
