The 22nd round of PlusLiga kicked off with a dominant performance by PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów, who secured a commanding 3-0 victory (25-17, 25-20, 25-21) over Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin. The win not only earned Skra three crucial points in their playoff push but also deepened Będzin’s struggles as they fight to avoid relegation, currently sitting in second-to-last place.

Skra established early dominance, comfortably taking the first two sets and closing the third with a strong finish. Key to their victory was their superior attacking efficiency, effective serving (7 aces to 4), and an overwhelming advantage in blocks (11 to 3).

Top scorer and MVP Amin Esmaeilnezhad dazzled with 19 points, boasting an impressive 67% attack efficiency, along with 1 ace and 2 blocks. His teammates Miran Kujundzić (12 points) and Bartłomiej Lemański (10 points) added to the team’s success. On Będzin’s side, Brandon Koppers led with 10 points in a valiant, but ultimately insufficient, effort.

This result propels Skra closer to securing a playoff spot, while MKS Będzin’s path to survival becomes increasingly precarious.
