POL M: ZAKSA Beats Częstochowa 3–1 to Strengthen Playoff Push

ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle claimed an important 3–1 victory over Steam Hemarpol Politechnika Częstochowa in the opening match of the 25th round of PlusLiga, boosting their chances in the race for the playoffs.

The home side took control early, winning the first two sets 25–21 and 25–21. Częstochowa responded by taking the third set 25–23, but ZAKSA sealed the win in the fourth with a 25–22 finish.

Jakub Szymański led the scoring for ZAKSA with 24 points and earned MVP honors. He recorded 19 kills from 33 attacks (58% efficiency), along with four aces and one block. Kamil Rychlicki added 22 points.

For Częstochowa, Patrik Indra scored 19 points, Milad Ebadipour added 18, and Jakub Kiedos finished with 11.

With the win, ZAKSA moves to 33 points and sits ninth in the PlusLiga standings, level with JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel and PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów, though having played more matches. Częstochowa remains bottom with 16 points, seven behind InPost ChKS Chełm and Barkom Każany Lwów with only three matches left.
