The winning team’s Miloš Ćulafić was the match top scorer with an impressive 25 points. Poland’s Jakub Wachnik had 14 and his teammates Michal Kaczynski and Slawomir Stolc – 10 points each.
Slobodan Boškan, head coach of Montenegro: “I expected a tough match and it was. But this time we played harder and better than in the first game, so I am really satisfied with our performance throughout the match. In the second set Poland served much stronger, gave us problems with reception and won the set, but in general, I think that we played a good, hard match and we deserve this win.”
Andrzej Kowal, head coach of Poland: “Despite a 1:3 loss, for us this was a better game than Friday’s match. We were more consistent, more stable with some elements of the game, not counting the time in set three, when we lost a series of points by not receiving the opponents’ serves. Montenegro was also better today. Without question this new sports hall in Walbrzych is well suited for a good show. For me, the most important thing is that this group of players has already made progress after their Friday debut and most of all, the fact that they are working hard. That is the key thing for us.”
