Two days are left until start of the World Championship in Poland. The WorldofVolley presents you Host cities and their arenas.

The National Stadium is the most popular place in Poland and one of the best multifunctional arenas in Europe. The National Stadium in Warsaw is also the biggest conference and business centre in Poland

SPODEK ARENA, KATOWICE

The “Spodek” Arena comprises of the following components:

Main hall with the capacity of 11,000 seats, gym with the capacity of 400 seats; Ice rink – opened all-year-round excluding a summer renovation break; Indoor swimming pool with two saunas and other water attractions

Involving over 1000 workers

Using over 2000 tons of steel

Using nearly 10,000 shoring elements

Laying over 750 kilometres of wire

With over 1000 lorries delivering concrete to the construction site

Training arena together with 304-seat auditorium and back-up facilities 3,649 m²

A total of 1,341 parking spaces in the facility (underground parking lot with 808 public and 206 VIP parking spaces, 19 parking spaces for coach buses, 19 fitness parking spaces, 46 parking spaces for the personnel of the arena, 243 parking spaces in the public ground parking lot).
