Not many people could say that Częstochowa will take one set, let alone to beat third-placed Lotos Trefl Gdańsk, as a visitor. Częstochowa did it in a great style – in straight sets, with partial 25-18, 25-16, 25-23.

The experienced French receiver Guillaume Samica pushed his team to victory with 14 points, followed by Artur Udrys from Belarus with 11. In Trefl, Mateusz Mika was the only danger to the opponent. He ended the game with 16 points.

The last placed Będzin surprised Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The team fammous by defeting current champion PGE Skra Bełchatów in December last year, celebrated in five sets.

Mikołaj Sarnecki led Będzin with 21 points . The Dutch Dick Kooy, with 22, was the best scorer in Zaksa.
