According to Konrad Piechocki, the President of PGE Skra Belchatow, there will be no Playoffs in the next season of the PlusLiga. Only the two best placed teams of the regular season will play the final series (best of 5 format), while the third and the fourth team will play for the bronze medal (best of 5 format).
The reason for this change is that the clubs believe that there are too many games in the season, and that the schedule is very tight. Therefore, there are many injuries, while players often cancel the participation for the national team, just to have some time to rest.
