Wilfredo Leon received Polish citizenship on Tuesday, but he is still not able to play for the Polish national team…

Leon

Young Cuban star admitted that he is willing to play for Poland in future, but according to FIVB regulations every player must wait two years after gaining foreign citizenship to join the their national team. That means that Wilfredo Leon will be able to debut for Poland in 2017… Which is one year after the Olympic Games in Rio.

But, according to the Polish media, FIVB might change the rules and allow players to join foreign national teams only one year after gaining citizenship! That would mean that Leon would be able to play for Poland after July 2016! That would mean that Leon would be able to play for Poland at the Olympic Games in Rio!

We will see what will happen with this case.

@Blueredwhite here you are again… You’re making a fool of yourself disrespecting Polish team all the time or making derogatory comments whenever there’s any news from/about Poland that you can trash. We all know that according to your twisted logic Polish team is not a top team and (let me guess) Iran is more deserving, but try to be more reasonable and – if it doesn’t work – get some help or just relax. It always sucks when your favorite team loses, but what you’re doing right now is called TROLLING.

To all those who assume ‘blueredwhite’ is a fan of Russian Team: mind you that the colors of the Russian flag are WHITE BLUE RED!!! People, think before you act…
