POL W: Chemik’s invincibility continues – 13 out of 13!

The Polish champions Chemik Police defeated Polski Cukier Muszynianka Enea (Muszyna) 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-13) achieving first victory in 2016 and boosting their leadership in Orlen Liga.

Muszynianka had the most balanced play in Set 2 but at 14-14, Anna Werblińska scored two points in a row and, despite Muszynianka provided hard fight, the strength was on the side of a home team.

Chemik showed power especially in Set 3 when they took 9-1 lead which allowed their coach, the Italian Giuseppe Cuccarini, to try different tactical solutions before thr next week’s CEV Champions League encounter against Pomì Casalmaggiore from Italy.

The best scorers in Chemik, who achieved 13th victory in 13 games in Orlen Liga, were Colombian Madelaynne Montaño and Serbian Stefana Veljković with 10 points each.

In the ranks of the Polish bronze medalists, Natalia Kurnikowska had nine.
