Chemik vs. Fenerbahçe

Chemik vs. Fenerbahçe

In the clash of the Turkish and Polish giants and reigning champions of their countries, ladies from the Turkish team were on a much higher level proving that unbeaten record in pool stage was not coincidence.

Chemik’s coach Giuseppe Cuccarini was encouraging his wards before the match by stating that Fenerbahçe were unlucky to draw his team, not the other way around. But, Cuccarini’s motivation, obviously, was not that fruitful.

Korean Kim Yeon-Koung with 18 and Serbian Brankica Mihajlović with 16 points brought win to ’Fener’. Anna Werblińska (19 pts.) and Colombian Madelaynne Montaño (11) were the best scorers in Chemik.

Second leg is scheduled In Istanbul, in two weeks, on February 23.
