Gavin Schmitt still has problems with leg injury and he might not be able to play for Asseco Resovia in the 2016/17 campaign, reports Gazeta Wyborcza!!!
Canadian opposite signed with Resovia this summer and he was planned to be the main attacking power of the red and whites in the upcoming season. However, it is a big question whether Schmitt will be able to play volleyball in the next couple of months.
Gazeta Wyborcza writes that Schmitt still has problems with leg injury. Recall that he missed almost the entire 2015/16 season due to surgery on both legs, but he played at the Olympic Games 2016 where everything seemed to be fine.
“After the Olympic Games, Schmitt will undergo detailed medical exams in Canada, and then we will together make further decisions. We want to be 100% sure that Gavin can play for our club, while he is fully determined to fly to Poland and join the team,” said Bartosz Gorski, CEO of Asseco Resovia.
