“It was a frightening experience. We were in the middle of the match when the ground started shaking. For two years in Japan I have felt earthquakes, but this time you could hear the crackles inside the gym. At first, everyone were really scared, thinking it might be a terrorist attack, because it seemed that someone was shooting. I ran toward the exit as fast as I could. Thank God, it was not serious. Everyone were OK. Still, elsewhere in the country there were a lot of damage,” said Vissotto who is playing for Al Arabi (Qatar) at the Asian Club Championship.
