Chemik vs. Bielsko-Biala

The first set began with a fierce fight until 10-10 when Chemik accelerated thanks to few successful attacks of Colombian Madelaynne Montaño (22 points).

Visitors had the better start in the second set, causing problems to Chemik’s reception (10-5). Serbian Stefana Veljković and Montaño brought Chemik back to life but Bielsko-Biała prevailed in a dramatic finish and leveled in sets.

Third set was similar to the first. Polish champions accelerated in the middle of the set, when Malwina Smarzek served impressively while Veljković added several great points. Chemik took 2-1 lead in sets.

Players coached by Jakub Głuszak felt confident, began to play more ambitious in defense and to convert that effort through counterattacks. Bielsko-Biała managed to recover mainly due to Czech Soňa Mikysková’s performance (22 points in total), but hosts kept focus until the end to retain unbeaten status in OrlenLiga.

Dąbrowa Górnicza swept Trefl Sopot in a duel that used to be a big derby of the Polish league 3-0 with 12 points from Kamila Ganszczyk.
