As fakt.pl published, for three and a half hours, Bulgarian expert Radostin Stoytchev was convincing Polish VF officials why he is the best option to succeed Frenchman Stéphane Antiga at the bench of Polish Men’s NT.

“Stoychev showed knowledge of Polish volleyball. In a conversation with him we could hear that knows a lot about our players. Bulgarian made a good impression on us. But it was the same with De Giorgi. These talks confirmed that we have chosen professionals. The choice is so difficult, and we still have to meet Berruto,” said one of the Polish VF officials.

A 47-year-old Stoytchev was the second of the 4 candidates with whom Polish Federation held talks. A few days ago, Italian Ferdinando De Giorgi, who is under contract with Polish champions ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, shared his vision of work with the national team. On Thursday, another Italian expert will arrive to conduct talks – Mauro Berruto, former Italian Men’s NT head coach.

“Argentinean Marcelo Méndez eliminated himself from the race because he does not want to part ways with his club (Sada Cruzeiro from Brazil), and we require a coach with exclusive role. This is one of the most important conditions,”  Polish VF official stated for przegladsportowy.pl.

Polish VF Board will hold a meeting on December 5, after conducting talks with all candidates, and will choose new men’s head coach.
