Polish Volleyball Federation began talks with the four candidates for the position of the Men’s Volleyball Polish National Team head coach and they already finished a round with Ferdinando De Giorgi, who is, probably, the most serious candidate to succeed Stéphane Antiga.

“Our meeting lasted three hours during which we had intensive discussion, exchange of ideas. Many questions were asked and a lot of topics were touched, but I don’t want to reveal the details. Race for the coach continues, I’m still under the contract with Polish champions, therefore, I will have another meeting with the Polish federation authorities. I do not want to put any pressure, and out of respect for the Polish federation, I will leave the details for myself,” the current coach of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle said for “Polsat Sport”.

“The level of volleyball in the world leveled out. The differences are small. This has its pros and cons. There is not a team that has a great advantage or is stronger over the others. This means that when you do an appropriate job you can win something. On the other hand, even when you play well, you end up in fourth or fifth place and remain unsatisfied. The potential in Poland exists, and must be supported by adequate work. I see a talented, exciting generation of volleyball players of the Under 23 group. Now you have to work with them to slowly introduce them to senior volleyball,” added De Giorgi.
