Only two days before the beginning of the Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship (PlusLiga) playoff semifinals against fierce rivals Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, Skra made their fans happy – the captain Mariusz Wlazły extended the contract for two more years.
“It’s a great honor for me, and I am glad to be here. I hope that in the future the goals will not be any different from those we have fought for in previous years. Bełchatów is a good place for me,” Skra’s icon said for club website.
Mariusz Wlazły has been wearing the jersey of Skra since 2003 and has been appointed as a captain since 2008/2009. During that period he has won national title eight times.
