The famous volleyball agent Andrzej Grzyb has revealed that the Russians wanted to give Wilfredo Leon a passport.

After the dinner, I was on my way to the car and suddenly I saw that the president of the Russian Volleyball Federation Stanislav Shevhcenko calling me. I answered the call and he asked me – “Hey Anrzej, we thought about giving Leon a passport of Russia,” tells Grzyb and explains – “I just looked at Papke who was sitting next me and said “Stach, you’re a little late, because we’re just settling these things for Poland.”
