RUS M: Zenit-Kazan give another lesson to namesakes from Saint Petersburg

Round 7 of the 2020/21 Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship closed with a derby of the two namesakes.



Zenit-Kazan achieved a straight-set win over namesakes from Saint Petersburg in Round 7 of the 2020/21 Superliga Parimatch regular season for men, pulling out difficult endings in two of them: 3-0 (27-25, 25-20, 28-26).

Today’s win was Zenit-Kazan’s sixth in a row (no defeat) in the league and eighth successive against these rivals. The series of wins of four games of Zenit Saint Petersburg has come to an end.

Maksim Mikhaylov top-scored the Kazan team with 19 points. Ivan Yakovlev was the only player in double digits in scoring for the losing side.
