RUS W: Koroleva’s blocks lead way of Dinamo-Kazan to 7th win in row, Lokomotiv catch momentum

Dinamo-Ak Bars extended their winning streak in the 2020/21 Russian Women’s Volleyball Championship to seven games.

Dinamo-Ak Bars made their leadership of the 2020/21 Superliga Parimatch regular season for women even firmer (six points more, but also 2 matches more, than Dinamo Moscow) by extending the winning streak to seven games. In Round 11, the Kazan side bounced back from losing an opening set to down hosts Enisey: 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-21). Mexican Samantha Bricio tallied 23 points for the reigning champions, while Irina Koroleva made 7 blocks.

The vice-champions Lokomotiv have finally caught momentum as they recorded the third successive victory. They downed Dinamo-Metar by a 3-0 with 14 points apiece from Margarita Kurilo and Mariya Vorobyeva. Valeriya Zaytseva made 4 blocks, while Irinia Voronkova had 81 % reception (58 % excellent).
