RUSSIAN CUP M: Dinamo Moscow win tie-break vs Kuzbass and claim last F4 ticket

Dinamo Moscow booked the last ticket to the Final Four of the 2020/21 Russian Men’s Volleyball Cup.

As hosts, Dinamo Moscow beat Kuzbass in Pool C on Day 2 of the semifinal stage of the 2020/21 Russian Men’s Kubok Rossii Cup and booked a ticket to the Final Four: 3-2 (25-21, 25-23, 20-25, 19-25, 15-8).

The day before, Dinamo Moscow beat ASK (3-0) so, given there are three teams in the pool (Dinamo-LO withdrew from the tournament due to the appearance of Covid-19 among their players), the second victory pushed them to the final tournament which will be organized by Zenit Saint Petersburg (December 25-26).

Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov was Dinamo’s top scorer today with 23 points. The club based in the Russian capital know the name of its rivals in the semifinals –  it will play against Pool A winners Lokomotiv. The second pair will consist of Zenit St. Petersburg and Zenit-Kazan (Pool B winners).
