Dinamo Moscow beat Zenit-Kazan in the Russian Men’s Championship for the first time since 2011. Given that the last time they prevailed in mutual encounters against Zenit was in the first part of 2011/12, it makes it almost a 10-year drought for Dinamo.

In a delayed match of the 6th round of the 2020/21 Superliga Parimatch regular season, which was scheduled for October 2020 but couldn’t take place due to the quarantine of the team from the Russian capital, Dinamo prevailed in 4 sets. Partially, it was 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, and 25-19. This was Zenit-Kazan’s 5th defeat in the last 6 games.

Romanas Shkulyavichus top-scored Dinamo, who recorded the 9th successive victory (5 of which in the league), with 22 points. Vadim Likhosherstov set up 5 blocks.
