For the third time this season, Dinamo Moscow defeated the titleholders of the Russian Men’s Volleyball Championship, Lokomotiv.

In a delayed match of the 17th round of the 2020/21 Russian Men’s Superliga Parimatch regular season, on the road, Dinamo Moscow prevailed over Lokomotiv: 3-2 (16-25, 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11). The Novosibirsk side lost even though they had Serbian Dražen Luburić on a high level (32 points, including 4 aces). Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov top-scored Dinamo Moscow with 26 points.

The team from the Russian capital is again in the lead of the competition and remains the main favorite to take first place in the charts, which would give them the right to host the Final Six (which is to replace the playoffs).

Just like two days ago, Zenit-Kazan defeated Dinamo-LO in straight sets. Today’s match was played ahead as it was valid for Round 24. How easy the Tatarstan giants surpassed their rivals shows the fact that there were no double-digit players on their scoresheet. Winning the 4th encounter in a row, Zenit-Kazan returned to fight for the top 2 spots in the standings that secure a direct advancement to the Final Six. Such a possibility seemed far away after series of defeats in January.
