For the 3rd time this season, Dinamo Moscow and Zenit Saint Petersburg will vie for the trophy. After facing each other in the final of the Russian Cup and CEV Cup (Dinamo emerged victoriously from both), these two will play against each other in the final of the national championship – the Russian Superliga Parimatch.
Both Dinamo and Zenit prevailed in exciting semifinal duels in the inaugural Final Six, in Moscow. Led by Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov (19 points), the club from the country’s capital beat the titleholders Lokomotiv by a 3-1 (25-17, 25-13, 16-25, 25-23). Zenit’s win over Kuzbass was even more dramatic as it came after the tie-break. Egor Kliuka top-scored the Saint Petersburg side with 25 points.
The final match will be held tomorrow.
