Iran U23 in good shape before WCH
At the last day of tournament in Kazakhstan’s capital of Almaty, the national team of Iran U23 made great success.
In the final match they beat Russia U23 in a meeting that could easily be repeated at the next 2013 FIVB Men’s U23 World Championship, which will be held in Uberlândia, Brazil from on October 6-13.
Hosts won bronze medal after straight set victory over Bahrain.
Results on a final day:
Final 7th-8th place: Qatar-UAE 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-20)
Final 5th or 6th place: Turkey-Kazakhstan 2 3-1 (23-25, 30-28, 25-19, 25-16)
Final 3rd-4th place: Bahrain-Kazakhstan 0-3 (23-25, 27-29, 23-25)
Final 1st-2nd place: Iran U23-Russia U23 3-0 (28-26, 25-22, 25-15)
