Kuzbass – Oka 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-19)
The hosts played against the member of the Second division club, Oka Kaluga. Kuzbass, knowing that at home they must try to score maximum points, did not postpone the matter indefinitely. After a little game of equality in the beginning of the fight, the team from Kemerovo took possession of game advantage, managing to earn two-three points on its serve.
The setter from Kemerovo team Aleksey Bardok looked particularly threatening, often confusing the opponent’s defense during the match.
Kuzbass squad worked perfectly, they attacked mostly from the edges and from the middle of the net. All this has allowed the coaching staff a little experiment. For example, at the start of the second set, the opposite in Kemerovo club Marcus Nilsson was replaced with a middle blocker Aleksey Nalobin. In the third set, only libero remained from of the starting line-up, but this did not prevent the team led by Eric Ngapeth to bring the match to a victorious end.
In the second round of the tournament in Kemerovo, Zenit Kazan will make their appearance and face Kuzbass. Players led by Vladimir Alekno are absolute favorites of the Pool 3.
