Two-time World and European Champion, 2000 and 2004 Olympic silver medalist- Lyubov Sokolova, signed a contract with Dinamo Krasnodar in May, she had her debut as the captain of Krasnodar in the Russian Super League match against Dinamo Kazan with 1:3 (25:20, 23:25, 23:25, 20:25).

“It is evident that our team has a game system. This system, which prepared coach Avital Salinger, is different from which we used to play with Nikolay Karpol. This system gives our team a chance to be an individual and show your face, is not like the others. Salinger instills our team in his own hand, which is noticeable in gaming activities, as well as in training “- said Sokolova.

“I loved the training process, which is conducted in Dinamo. And the coaches and players are very customized and focused on each training session” – added the Russian volleyball star.

The previous four seasons Sokolova performed in foreign clubs – Italian club Vini Monteschiavo Jesi and Turkish clubs Fenerbahçe and Eczacıbaşı VitrA.

“First, I had the motivation to come back. Last year they called me to come to Russia, but for some circumstances I stayed in Turkey. When this year we were talking about changing the team, I remembered that Krasnodar were  called me. Plus they had a successful season last year. Therefore, I decided that it is a good option – and for myself and for others“ – said Sokolova.
