On the 13th day of the 2014 Russian Superleague the Omsk Cats entertained coach Vadim Pankov’s Zarechie ODINTSOVO. They won the match by 3:0, earning 3 points towards their new total of 29. Occupying the second place in the provisional standings, Omichka is only behind Dinamo KAZAN with 35 points. The Cats have a 10-2 win-loss record since the beginning of the season. For its next match Omichka will travel to face Fakel NOVY URENGOY on February 21.
“We have finished our participation in the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League, becoming the best rookie in the history of the competition, making it to the Playoff 6 stage – a great achievement that our fans, our club, our city and our sponsors can be really proud of,” head coach Zoran Terzić comments. “We are now fully concentrated on the Russian championship. In the course of the regular season we intend to keep the second place in the standings. We plan to show a good result in the next match in Novy Urengoy. Then we will have a short break which we will use to recover in health and strength.”
