CWCH M: Belgorod stay unbeaten

Belogorie Belgorod emerged as the only unbeaten team of the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship so far and joined the semifinals after achieving another 3-1 victory (25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 26-24) over Iran’s Matin Varamin, which is now out of the tournament.

Russian Dmitriy Muserskiy, even after playing only three sets, topped the charts of the match with 16 points, followed by captain Taras Khtey with 12. Farhad Piroutpour, who scored 15 times, was the best player in the Iranian side.

Belgorod grabbed this way the first place of Pool A and will face UPCN at the semifinals. Matin Varamin ended their participation in the championship.

UPCN – Al Rayyan 3-2 (25-19, 25-20, 17-25, 18-25, 15-11) stat

Trentino – Esperance 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-16) stat

Belogorie – Matin Varamin – 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 26-24) stat
