Demián González, UPCN captain: “We started very well, but then we lost some momentum and they began serving incredibly well and improving overall. I think there was where they made us the most damage. Now we have to think on tomorrow’s match.”

Taras Khtey, Belogorie Belgorod captain: “I’m happy that we won against a very good team like UPCN. Today we celebrate in Russia a national holiday, the Victory Day, so achieving this win is great for us. We are very happy for making it to the final, but the most important match is tomorrow and we will prepare for it.”

Fabián Armoa, UPCN coach: “This games are very difficult for us. We only played these kind of matches in this championship; it was our first time against a Russian team and I think mentally it was very tough for us to maintain the level. They pressured us a lot, but anyway we came here to win a medal and we’re still at range. We’re optimistic for tomorrow’s game.”

Gennady Shipulin, Belogorie Belgorod coach: “We know that many people follow us in Russia, so this victory is for them, as well as our thanks. I also want to thank UPCN because today it was a very good game, fairly played, and we are very satisfied with the match. For the final opponent, it’s the same for us, as both are very good teams. We have to do well and rest, because it will be our fifth game in a row. With that, let God decide who will we play.”
