Lokomotiv Novosibirsk won the Russian Volleyball Cup for the first time since 2011, beating Dynamo Moscow 3:2 in a tense final in Kazan. The match went the full five sets, with Lokomotiv showing just enough grit to edge out the win.
It’s a long-awaited second cup title for the team, who had lost two recent finals. Key players Marko Ivović and Omar Kurbanov led with 21 points each, while head coach Plamen Konstantinov praised the team’s growth and spirit throughout the tournament.
