Dynamo-LO struck first, taking advantage of Zenit’s early struggles in attack. The opening set also saw an unfortunate moment for the hosts when middle blocker Aleksandr Zakhvatenkov was forced out with an injury after landing awkwardly at the net.

Zenit regrouped quickly. Strong blocking and steady pressure helped them take the next two sets, shifting the momentum sharply in their favor. But Dynamo-LO refused to fold, Osniel Melgarejo’s powerful serving run fueled a dominant fourth set that sent the match to a decisive tiebreak.

In the final set, Zenit steadied once more. Artiom Volvich delivered a key ace, and Dynamo-LO’s late errors tipped the balance, giving Zenit a 15–8 finish and the victory.

Roman Murashko led Dynamo-LO with 19 points, while Dmitriy Volkov topped Zenit with 16. The win keeps Zenit Kazan at the top of the standings with 10 victories in 11 games.
